One of only 10 projects selected across Australia under the Commonwealth Government’s Building Women’s Careers Program, ManufactHER brings together industry, government, education and community to create real pathways for women in manufacturing.
Led by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) in partnership with Central Coast Industry Connect (CCIC), and supported by Coast & Country Primary Care (CCPC), the program has already delivered meaningful change, and we’re just getting started.
What ManufactHER does
ManufactHER works directly with manufacturing businesses to strengthen how they attract, support and retain women in their workforce. It’s practical, collaborative, and built around the real challenges employers face.
Participating businesses receive:
- Tailored HR and workforce strategy support
- Practical tools to improve attraction, retention and progression of women
- Workplace culture and inclusion guidance
- Access to peer learning and industry collaboration
- Recruitment pathway support and talent pipeline development
- Recognition as a leader driving change in manufacturing
This is hands-on support, not theory.
What we’ve achieved so far
In the first year of ManufactHER, our Cohort 1 businesses have taken part in workshops, leadership programs, site visits and honest conversations about what it takes to build more inclusive workplaces. You can read about some of those milestones below, and take a look inside one of our ManufactHER workshops:
Program updates
EmpowerHER Graduation
In June 2026, our inaugural cohort of women leaders completed the EmpowerHER Women in Manufacturing Leadership Program. Six months of workshops, peer connection and real growth, celebrated in style.
Employer Attraction & Inclusive Recruitment Workshop
How do you tell your story as an employer? Our Cohort One businesses spent a day with facilitator Jacqui Daley working out exactly that.
Flexibility Workshop
Big conversations about what flexibility actually looks like on a manufacturing floor, and some honest commitments about what comes next.
