Finding the right apprentice or trainee is only the beginning. Meet the Workforce Consultants who support apprentices, trainees and host employers long after recruitment.
Consider these scenarios. You’re a young person who’s made it through the recruitment process, you’ve got the job, and the first-day nerves are setting in. Or you’re a business owner who’s just hired an apprentice or trainee, and the paperwork is piling up.
Now imagine having an experienced team beside you from day one. That’s where CCGT Workforce Consultants Amanda Lennon and Jemma Tesoriero come in.
“CCGT doesn’t disappear after recruitment.”

“That’s one of the biggest differences between a labour hire company or a recruiter and a Group Training Organisation (GTO) like us,” says Amanda. “Jemma and I are still there months and years later, helping make the placement successful.”
Every day is different

Ask Amanda what a typical day looks like and she’ll tell you there isn’t one.
“A lot of people think our job is just workplace visits and paperwork, but it’s really about supporting people,” she says.
“We build relationships with apprentices, trainees and host employers, help them work through challenges and celebrate their successes. Sometimes it’s helping someone stay on track with their training, sometimes it’s supporting a host through a difficult situation, and sometimes it’s simply being there to listen. Every day is different, and that’s what I enjoy most about the role.”
Supporting people, not just paperwork
For Amanda and Jemma, building trust is one of the most important parts of the role.
“We’re available whenever our apprentices, trainees or host employers need us,” says Jemma. “Whether it’s a quick text, a wellbeing check-in or a site visit, we’re there.”
It’s that consistent support that often makes the biggest difference to a person’s life.
Jemma believes a successful apprenticeship or traineeship is about much more than completing a qualification.
“A great apprenticeship or traineeship experience is finding something that you love and can pour yourself wholeheartedly into.”

“If you’re learning something you genuinely enjoy, you can see a future in it, and you have the right support around you, the possibilities are endless” adds Jemma.
Celebrating the wins

While Workforce Consultants are there to help when challenges arise, they’re also there to celebrate the milestones.
For Jemma, seeing apprentices and trainees grow in confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of the job.
“I love seeing my apprentices and trainees thrive,” she says. “Watching someone go from thinking they can’t do it to completing their apprenticeship or traineeship is always an incredible feeling.”
Amanda agrees.
“Anybody can achieve anything if they’re supported and encouraged to do their best.”
More than recruitment

Helping businesses find the right apprentice or trainee is just one part of what CCGT does.
For host employers, Amanda and Jemma become an extension of their team, providing ongoing guidance, regular workplace visits and practical support throughout the placement. For apprentices and trainees, they’re a trusted point of contact from commencement through to completion.
It’s one of the biggest differences between partnering with a Group Training Organisation and simply recruiting a new employee.
With 45 years’ experience working alongside local businesses, apprentices and trainees, that’s thousands of people who got the support they needed to see it through.
