Central Coast Group Training & Construction Trade Qualifications have teamed up to deliver eligible participants a HANDS-ON 6 Week Carpentry Pre-Apprenticeship Program designed as a FIRST STEP into a trade career!
You’ll learn in a supportive training environment, gain nationally recognised units, and develop the confidence employers are looking for — all while getting a real taste of what a career in carpentry is like.

🏁 End Date: 17 April 2026
⏱ Duration: 6 weeks
📅 Days: Wednesday to Friday
🕘 Time: 9:00am – 2:30pm
📍 Location: Oasis Youth Centre, 15 Hely Street, Wyong
What you’ll gain
- Throughout the program, you’ll complete key units including:
- Applying WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
- Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and drawings
- Carrying out measurements and calculations
- Using carpentry tools and equipment
- Handling carpentry materials
- Applying basic levelling procedures
These skills will prepare you for entry-level work and help set you up for a carpentry apprenticeship.
✅ You may be eligible if you:
- Are 15 years or older
- Are no longer at high school
- Live or work in NSW (or meet eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander criteria)
- Are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, eligible visa holder or New Zealand citizen
- Hold (or are willing to obtain) a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- Hold a White Card (or are willing to obtain one before starting)
